Over 9 years we have become known internationally as leader in sustainable denim manufacturing. Outland Denim was the first Australian denim label to become B Corp Certified, we were awarded the Thomson Reuters Foundation Stop Slavery Award for SME earlier this year, and we were the only organisation to receive innaugral Global Sustainable Business Goals Awards in two categories. Through rebranding our production facilities to MAEKA™, we look forward to offering this standard to other brands.

By offering the opportunity for other brands to produce using the socially, environmentally and economically sustainable facilities that Outland Denim have established and become known for, we have the opportunity to expand our business, but more importantly our social impact. We believe MAEKA™ provides the opportunity to expand and transform the fashion industry, and vulnerable communities, through manufacturing for other brands.

Through MAEKA™, we hope to offer more than just a manufacturing service, by offering responsible sourcing and sustainability reporting support, tracking  technology, and true social and environmental impact.

“Many brands want to have confidence that the clothing they are selling was made sustainability and ethically. But it’s easier said than done, and that’s where our team of supply chain and production experts come in. MAEKA™ takes the guesswork out of supply chains, sustainability standards and ethical manufacturing.” said Outland Denim founding CEO James Bartle.

Global fashion label Karen Walker, whom Outland Denim has previously collaborated with, is the first to begin working with MAEKA, with product already in development. MAEKA™ has also just launched its white-label blank t-shirt offering with wholesale orders now available.

When you see the MAEKA Standard™ stamp on any product made in the MAEKA™ facilities, you can have confidence that your clothes were made in a way you can be proud of, made in the best way possible for you, the planet, and for humanity.
